Creator Talk is a series by Cora featuring interviews and conversations with video and music creators about how they work, think, and stay creative—behind the scenes.
Therese Eriksson is a YouTube creator who chose vanlife to build a life of freedom and connection with her audience. She records her travels around Europe with her van, sharing what a nomadic lifestyle is all about. With her cat Tindra along for the ride. "I always dreamed of working with travel content," she says.
"I loved the Swedish show 'När & Fjärran' as a child, but I never dared to take the leap until I sold everything, moved into my van, and drove south. That's when I decided: I'm making my own show. My way. With my camera and my freedom."
Since starting her vanlife journey, Therese has visited numerous countries and captured her experiences, growing her channel through honest, cinematic storytelling.

Music: The hardest part of creating videos
"Music is one of the most important elements in my videos," says Therese. "The right track can make a good scene magical. The wrong track? People will click away from your video if it has the wrong music."
She spends hours searching for the right sound. "I start with a feeling—freedom, sadness, something magical — and then I start the search. It's like looking for the soundtrack to life."
How the right music shapes the story
The tracks in Cora Music’s library help her create a stronger connection with her viewers. “It makes my videos feel more alive, and it feels like such a luxury to have access to music people instantly connect with.”
Over Christmas, she used warm, emotional tracks by Sarah Dawn Finer to match the tone of her winter vanlife series. “I love when music can amplify a feeling like that.”

Advice for other creators: Be real
"I'm always changing—in how I make videos and as a person," Therese says. "I nerd out on storytelling, try new techniques, and listen to what my viewers say. I think it shows that I care — about them and about every video I make."
What has she learned from growing her channel? "Be human. Show the good and the bad. I've learned to be vulnerable. That helps build a real connection with the audience. And that’s what keeps people coming back."
She also says that Peter McKinnon has been a big inspiration. "He made me see video as art. He showed me how visuals, story and music can work together to create something powerful."
